"The Jubilee lunch for the Diamond Jubilee in 2012 was a Jacob’s Join affair in Rydal Lodge.
Folks were asked to don a commemorative hat and wear red, white and blue outfits (not everybody did!) .
The gathering at Rydal Lodge was on the actual weekend of the Jubilee celebrations when we all met at Rydal Lodge and had a lovely shared lunch. The tree planting could have been a week or two earlier”.
